The facility is located on a 66-acre parcel of land at Toronto Pearson International Airport in Mississauga Ontario. The overall site accommodates two buildings representing approximately 325,000 square feet total, a pedestrian connection bridge, and an aircraft ramp for nine wide body aircraft.
At the beginning of the project, we were retained to assist FedEx in developing their program, selecting a site, managing the production of design documents, and all aspects of contract administration and administrative support.

The facility is the main distribution facility for FedEx in Canada and is three times larger than then previous facility. The three-storey interconnected interior sort systems stretch over 3.5 kilometers and moves up to 12,000 packages per hour.
The project began on an accelerated schedule with site preparations commencing while the building design work was being completed. The new facility is designed with future room for expansion and was recognized in 2002 by NAIOP for Industrial Project of the Year.
